CCCT 2009

Under the organization of three Carinthian climbing clubs (AK Slovenj Gradec, AK Ravne, AK Črna na Koroškem) the third Cahn Climbing Competition Topla is being held on May 23rd, 2009. The sign that this year’s meeting of climbers, mountaineers, boulderers and other enthusiasts and conquistadors of the useless  will bring, will be even bigger this year, because the event will take the whole weekend in the beautiful surroundings of the Topla valley.  This year we are also introducing bouldering to CCCT, on boulders that lie around the valley, below the Burjakova wall. All-day hanging out, climbing of easier and harder boulder problems, prizes waiting on top of them are just a few reasons to visit this year’s CCCT. Everything will also take place in the big Burjakova wall, where sport routes will be climbed, on top of which prizes will be waiting for you. You will pick the one you deserve the most. CCCT team emphasizes that CCCT is not a competition, but a gathering of all people that love climbing and like to climbing in the beautiful surroundings of the Topla valley. After the completed first part, on Saturday evening, we will head down to Črna na Koroškem, where we will announce, who climbed the most and what he climbed, but by no means will we divide results to first, second and third.

After completing the official part, there will be a concert for everybody and just you. Big Foot Mama, one of most famous Slovene rock bands, will heat the atmosphere and keep it hot until early morning. Participants will have the option to sleep in private accommodations, those, who prefer sleeping bags and tents, can sleep at an intentionally provided space.
